The Agnes Quilted Bolero Jacket is inspired by both the functional workwear that artists such as Agnes Martin and Anne Truitt would wear painting in their studios, as well as the quilted petticoats worn under women’s skirts until mid-nineteenth century for warmth and shaping.
This jacket features long sleeves, a set of front tie-ribbons and partially hand-stitched cotton bias binding. It is completely reversible – meaning, you can wear both sides as the outside. The jacket is a bolero style and is meant to end at the waist, making it quite flattering, despite its padded nature.
